Let’s call this week for what it was. Horrible. But it’s over now, and I am celebrating with more than one limoncello. And I’ve earned them. I’ve done all the stuff I could possibly do to look after myself this week. I ate my vegetables, stretched, meditated, got a lot of rest, and drank almost enough water. I did some stuff that felt good too, I ate oatmeal raisin cookies, and rewatched a couple of episodes of Doctor Who. So I am going to enjoy these few ounces of a delicious liqueur. It’s making me dream about an autumn in Italy. We can consider dreaming self-care, I believe. Especially, when we can make it happen. Let’s manifest this!

Tomorrow, I am going back to being outside for 90 minutes everyday. My aim is to be able to walk 10km a day by Tuesday. But tomorrow, I plan to walk 5+ km and then soak up some sun at the beach.

Wishing everyone a great weekend.

My name is Laura. This blog will serve as documentation on a 90 day (and perhaps longer) commitment to new self-care practices. If you find yourself here, you will join me in daily walks by the water, and occasional forest or tree lined street, new to me healthy recipes, some lessons discovered during therapy sessions, reading a few books, watching a few movies, and finding some fun. This journey into self-care will revolve around my core values of curiosity, creativity, inclusion, accountability, and harmony.

Welcome.
