About This Project

I respectfully acknowledge that the land I live, work, and play on is the stolen territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and S’ólh Téméxw (Stó꞉lō) Nations.

This project is my capstone project for The Women Leading the Way course through Minerva BC. Over the next 90 days, I will embark on a daily self care regime that will focus on my core values: curiosity, creativity, inclusion, accountability, and harmony. By making self care my priority, it is my aim to become clear (and start working on) my next steps for my career, life, and mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing.

My name is Laura Bzowy.

My name is Laura. This blog will serve as documentation on a 90 day (and perhaps longer) commitment to new self-care practices. If you find yourself here, you will join me in daily walks by the water, and occasional forest or tree lined street, new to me healthy recipes, some lessons discovered during therapy sessions, reading a few books, watching a few movies, and finding some fun. This journey into self-care will revolve around my core values of curiosity, creativity, inclusion, accountability, and harmony.

Welcome.
